Potomac River Emphasizing Gentle Flow of Water & Reflections
Scott's Run Emptying into Potomac River

Filled to Overflowing

Sanford's October Photo of the Month

Isn't it a mystery that the rivers continually pour into the sea, yet the sea is never filled (Ecclesiastes 1:7)? Life can feel much the same. We work hard one day and harder the next, yet not much changes. This is why working to amass physical kingdom treasures is futility. But because of the riches of Christ, we can be filled to overflowing even in the mundane. And we don't have to work hard for such reward. We merely seek Him, abide in Him and obey Him. So, despite the lack of progress we may see in our earthly work, we may declare with joy: The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want (Psalm 23:1).
